Radio Plato has been declared extremist in Belarus

The Radio Plato website, as well as the Instagram and Telegram pages, have been designated by Belarusian authorities as extremist materials.
What does this mean?
It means that in Belarus, sharing links to the Radio Plato website, reposting or liking our content on social media can lead to a fine of up to € 320 with confiscation of the “items of distribution” (that is, your phone or laptop), community service, or administrative arrest.
Why did this happen?
We don’t know. Looking at the list of extremist materials in Belarus, it contains more than 7,000 (!) entries, so we have simply become another small item in this enormous catalogue of media unwanted by the regime.
What’s next?
For now, we are pausing our curated shows and livestreams, leaving Radio Plato in jukebox mode — you can still listen to your favourite station (just remember to clear your browser history).
