"Redki Vid" — a krautrock ode to us and what remains after us
Vapna's new single is out!
The synth-pop duo Vapna continues to delight us with new singles ahead of the release of their upcoming album "Amal". In "Redki Vid", the musicians reflect on the flow of life and the place we ultimately take in it.
"‘Redki Vid’ is one of several songs on the album that revolves around the theme of water," says frontman Andrei Vazyanau. “The chorus and melody came to me when my friends and I saw the ocean for the first time in Portugal. The verses, however, came much later and, in contrast, absorbed our local thoughts — far from the ocean shore — about the endless search for our own and the mycelium of mutual support.”
